Heritage Day Celebration
Monday, February 17 / 1pm-3pm
Wolfville Legion
310 Main St, Wolfville
This year's Heritage Day honoree is Mi'kmaq activist, Nora Bernard. We are honored to welcome Jordan Smith from the Glooscap Community who will be there to educate us on traditional Mi'kmaw medicines. We are also very pleased to share a small display of baskets from Rita and Noel Smith - the finest Mi'kmaq basketmaking duo in Nova Scotia.
We will also have an assortment of board games, crafts, and an all ages trivia competition so bring your thinking hats and win a prize. Participants can enjoy a look into Randall House's new project that looks to uncover the "world's smallest registered harbour" as well as listen to stories of Wolfville's past as told by members of the Women of Wolfville. There will be refreshments provided by chef Wayne Arnold. The event is family friendly and free!
